Foundational Stones for Building One's Life
Matthew 7:24-27
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
There are six Foundational Stones For Building One's Life: Prayer, Scripture, Faith, The Hope of Eternity, Truth and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, being the Chief Cornerstone, provides alignment and a reference point to all the other stones. Each stone set in an orderly fashion with the chief cornerstone acquires meaning and emits life and light. These Foundational stones provide a protective barrier for the beiever making it posible to endure the hardships of life (2 Timothy 2:3). These foundational stones empowers the believer with a supernatural awareness of what is up ahaed (John 16:33), thus Keeping each of us from being caught off -guard (1Peter 4:12). All of us are building whether we realize it or not. And we must ask ourselves often are we aligned correctly and properly and is our chief corner stone properly and firstly in place. A good Foundation will determine the stability and stability of the whole structure. Will what you've built stand up to God's inspection (1 Cor. 3:12-15).
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss. Be careful of how you build and be careful of what you build; remember christ is the key and he is and should always be the foundation of our lives.
